Low Longmire Farm, Lancashire
Low Longmire Farm is a 16th-century farmstead comprising of six buildings, about one mile north of the village of Bouth in the Furness area of Lancashire. The oldest part is the farmhouse, the other buildings being added in later centuries. Low Longmire belonged to the Rawlinson family and passed by marriage into the Pennington family in the late 16th century. The farmhouse was rebuilt in the late 17th century on the site of the old Rawlinson house, and there have been numerous alterations since then. During the 19th century the estate passed into the Braithwaite family and then descended with the rest of the Crosthwaite estate to the National trust in 1987. It is grade II listed. It is within the council area of Westmorland and Furness.
