Lossiemouth, Morayshire

Lossiemouth ("Lossie" locally) is a coastal town in Morayshire, on the Moray Firth. Following the decision to build a new harbour on the River Lossie, the 18th Century planned town of Lossiemouth was established on the low ground below the Coulard Hill. The once separate settlements of Stotfield, Seatown and Branderburgh eventually merged into the town. Lossiemouth is within the council area of Moray.
