Longnor, Shropshire
Longnor is a village lying on the Cound Brook in Shropshire. The village is known for its mediæval deer park and the 17th-century Longnor Hall within it. St Mary's Church dates from the mid 13th century, with 18th and 19th century additions and alterations. The White Lady of Longnor is reputed to appear by the bridge over the Cound Brook, where she supposedly threw herself into the water after being jilted at the altar. The village is within the council area of Shropshire.
