Liversedge, Yorkshire
Liversedge is a town in Yorkshire, in the West Riding. The town is built around the River Spen (Spen Beck), a tributary of the River Calder. The town lies at the western end of the near-contiguous urban area stretching westwards from Dewsbury. Formerly the town was a major manufacturer of woollen goods and forms part of the so-called Heavy Woollen district. The town is within the council area of Kirklees.
