Litherland, Lancashire
Litherland is a town in Lancashire. The town grew from a village following the arrival of the Leeds and Liverpool Canal in 1774. It was the basis of an urban district, which included Seaforth, from 1895-1974. Litherland Town Hall (1941) was designed by Gerald de Courcy Fraser in the Italianate style. The town is within the council area of Sefton.
