Liscombe House, Buckinghamshire
Liscombe House is a country house near Soulbury, Buckinghamshire. The original 17th-century mansion was the seat of the Lovett family. The current house is a 1920s reconstruction, and features a brick construction with small turrets and crenelations, built in a style reminiscent of an 18th-century Gothic castle. The estate is home to the much older, 14th-century Liscombe Chapel, which is a Grade II* listed building. Other parts of the estate have been converted for modern use, including the stable block, which is now a leisure and health complex with a riding stables. The house itself is not open to the public, but the gardens are occasionally used for fairs and fêtes. It is within the council area of Buckinghamshire.
