Lisbane, Down

Lisbane is a small village, lying on the road between Balloo and Comber (A22) in County Down. It is within the townlands of Lisbane and Lisbarnet, in the civil parishes of Tullynakill and Kilmood. At the start of the 20th century, Lisbane consisted of little more than the Old Post Office, dating from the 1840s. It grew slowly until the post-war era, since when there has been significant housing development. The village is within the council area of Ards and North Down.
