Lincoln's Inn, Middlesex
Lincoln's Inn is an Inn of Court in Holborn, Middlesex. Its origins lie in the 1234 decree by Henry III that no institutes of legal education could exist in the City of London, which led to secular lawyers moving to Holborn. Lincoln’s Inn’s 11-acre estate comprises collegiate buildings, barristers’ chambers, commercial premises and residential apartments. Lincoln's Inn, along with the three other Inns of Court, is recognised as being among the world's most prestigious professional bodies of judges and lawyers. It is within the council area of Camden.
