Leyland, Lancashire

Leyland is a town in Lancashire. St Andrew's Parish Church was built around AD 1200. The large stone Leyland Cross is thought to date back to Saxon times. The town is known for the bus and truck manufacturer Leyland Motors, founded in 1907 and still trading as Leyland Trucks. The town is within the council area of South Ribble (Lancashire).
