MenuLetocetum, Staffordshire
Letocetum (aka Wall Roman Site) is the remains of a Roman settlement at Wall, Staffordshire. It was an important military staging post and posting station near the junction of Watling Street and Icknield (or Ryknild) Street. The remains visible today are those of the stone bath house and mansio, built in approximately AD 130 after Letocetum ceased to have a military function and became a civilian settlement. The site is in the care of English Heritage. It is within the council area of Lichfield (Staffordshire).
