Leitrim, Down

Leitrim is a small village in County Down. It is within the townland of Leitrim, in the civil parish of Drumgooland. The current Church of the Immaculate Conception (RC) dates from a Victorian rebuilding (1871-1874) of an earlier (1786) church. Liatroim Fontenoys GAC was founded in 1888. The village is within the council area of Newry, Mourne and Down.
