Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire
Leighton Buzzard is a traditional market town in Bedfordshire, stands on the east side of the River Ouzel at the edge of the Chiltern Hills. The town centre has attractive streets running off a market square where a market is held twice weekly. The parish church is All Saints Church, dating from 1277, has a 190 foot spire and has been described as the Cathedral of South Bedfordshire. The town is home to the Leighton Buzzard Light Railway. The Grand Union Canal runs through the town, alongside the River Ouzel. The town is within the council area of Central Bedfordshire.
