Leeds is a city in Yorkshire, in the West Riding. The city lies on the River Aire. Leeds can trace its recorded history to the 5th century. Leeds was a market town in the Middle Ages. From the 17th century onwards, Leeds developed as major industrial centre. Leeds has a rich architectural heritage including Leeds Town Hall, Corn Exchange, and Leeds City Museum, by the architect Cuthbert Brodrick. Park Square is a traditional Georgian square and park.
