Layd Church, Antrim

Layd Church is a ruined mediæval church in the civil parish of Layd, County Antrim. The fabric shows at least four phases of mediæval and post-mediæval remodelling. Although there is a local tradition that it was a Franciscan foundation, this was a parish church in 1302-6 and continued in use until 1790.
