Lampeter, Cardiganshire
Lampeter (Welsh: Llanbedr Pont Steffan) is a town in Cardiganshire, sitting where the River Teifi and the Afon Dulas meet. The town is known as the smallest university town in the UK. The University of Wales, Trinity Saint David (formerly University of Wales, Lampeter) was founded in 1827 by Bishop Burgess of St David's to provide training for those wishing to join the Anglican priesthood. The town is within the council area of Ceredigion.
