Ladywell, Kent
Ladywell is a former hamlet that is now an urban area in the west of Lewisham, Kent. The name, which dates back at least a far as the 15th century, derives from a holy well dedicated to the Virgin Mary. The opening of Ladywell Station in 1857 brought expansion to the area. The well was covered during construction of the railway. The area is within the council area of Lewisham.
