Knowehead, Antrim

Knowehead (aka Knowe Head) is a former hamlet, that is now a suburban area in the north of Broughshane, County Antrim. It is within the townland of Knockboy, in the civil parish of Skerry. The hamlet developed around corn and bleach mills on the Artoges River. A suburban area has been developed adjacent to the hamlet. The area is within the council area of Mid and East Antrim.
