Knockoneill Court Tomb, Londonderry

Knockoneill Court Tomb is a prehistoric court tomb, located on high ground in the townland of Knockoneill, County Londonderry. This court tomb is unusual in that it has a subsidiary chamber at the back of the gallery, entered via a passage in the side of the tomb. The back stone of the main gallery is used as a side stone of the subsidiary chamber. The tomb is believed to have been built in the Neolithic and re-used in the Bronze Age and later times for burial. The monument is in the care of the Department for Communities. The monument is within the council area of Mid Ulster.
