Kilmood, Down

Kilmood is a small village in County Down. It is within the townland of Kilmood and Ballybunden, in the civil parish of Kilmood. St Mary's Church (C of I), the Kilmood parish church, was built in 1820, mainly financed by the Gordon family of nearby Florida Manor. The church was erected on a site long associated with Christian worship. The church hall was built 1821-22 as a schoolhouse by the Erasmus Smith foundation. The village is within the council area of Ards and North Down.
