Killyliss Rath, Tyrone

Killyliss Rath is a bivallate rath, located south of the summit of a prominent hillock in the townland of Killyliss, County Tyrone. The monument is defined by a set of 2 concentric banks and ditches forming an enclosure in total around 160ft in extent. The rath interior is roughly circular and about 75ft across. Excavations in 1965 unearthed hearths and material of the Early Christian period. The monument is in the care of the Department for Communities. The monument is within the council area of Mid Ulster.
