Killowen, Down

Killowen is a small village, located on the eastern shore of Carlingford Lough in County Down. It is within the townland of Ballinran, in the civil parish of Kilbroney. Though a small settlement has lain close to Killowen Point since the early 19th century, most of the present-day housing dates from the mid 20th century or later. The village is within the council area of Newry, Mourne and Down.
