Kilclief Castle, Down

Kilclief Castle is a 15th-century tower house in the hamlet of Kilclief, located overlooking the entrance to Strangford Lough, County Down. It was built between 1413-1441, reputedly by John Sely, Bishop of Down. Features include a machicolation arch, projecting towers and spiral staircases. The monument is in the care of the Department for Communities. The monument is within the council area of Newry, Mourne and Down.
