Jordan's Castle, Down

Jordan's Castle is a four-storey 15th-century tower house, located close to the harbour in the village of Ardglass, County Down. It was built around 1450. It has a stair case turret and latrine turret both projecting from the north side, with a machicolation between them. The tower is built of split-stone rubble with sandstone dressings. The tower was restored from ruin by the antiquarian F.J. Biggar in the 1920s. The monument is in the care of the Department for Communities. The monument is within the council area of Newry, Mourne and Down.
