Inverness Cathedral, Inverness-shire
Inverness Cathedral (Cathedral Church of St Andrew) is a cathedral of the Scottish Episcopal Church, situated on the west bank of the River Ness in Inverness, Inverness-shire. It is the seat of the Bishop of Moray, Ross and Caithness. The foundation stone was laid by the Archbishop of Canterbury, Charles Longley, in 1866. The architect was Alexander Ross. The cathedral is built of red Tarradale stone, with the nave columns of Peterhead granite. It is within the council area of Highland.
