Immingham, Lincolnshire
Immingham is a port town in Lincolnshire, in the Parts of Lindsey, on the Humber estuary. Up until the turn of the 20th century Immingham was a rural village. The advent of the railways encouraged speculators to utilise its location to build a deep-sea dock to rival that in Hull. It remains a major port and industrial centre. The town is within the council area of North East Lincolnshire.
