Ilkley, Yorkshire
Ilkley is a spa town in Yorkshire, in the West Riding. It lies on the south bank of the River Wharfe in Wharfdale. It became a fashionable spa town in the 19th century. The town centre is characterised by Victorian architecture, wide streets and floral displays. The town is a tourist destination, used as a base from which to explore the famous moor and the countryside beyond. The town is within the council area of Bradford.
