Iford is a suburban village in Hampshire, on the south bank of the River Stour. Iford remained a hamlet into the 20th century, during which it became increasingly suburbanised, eventually becoming contiguous with Pokesdown and West Southbourne to its south. St Saviour's Church was designed by Frederic W. Lawrence and opened in 1936. Iford Bridge, across the Stour, dates from the mid 17th century to the late 18th century. Iford is within the council area of Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole
