Ickenham, Middlesex
Ickenham is a suburban village in Middlesex. It is listed in Domesday as 'Ticheham'. The 20th century saw Ickenham become suburbanised, following the opening of Ickeknham Halt on the Metropolitan Line in 1905. Ickenham Hall is a Grade II Listed Georgian mansion. Swakeleys House was built in 1638. St Giles' church dates back to 1335. The village is within the council area of Hillingdon.
