Huyton with Roby, Lancashire
Huyton with Roby was a civil parish and, from 1894-1974, an urban district in Lancashire. During the 20th century the area became almost entirely urbanised, with the construction of overspill estates from Liverpool. Huyton with Roby to a large degree gained the identity of a town. Whilst the civil parish and the urban district were abolished in 1974, the urban area is still commonly known as Huyton with Roby. The following settlements are usually considered to lie within Huyton with Roby: Huyton, Huyton Park, Huyton Quarry, Roby, Longview, Page Moss, Woolfall Heath, Bowring Park, Fincham, and Court Hey. The area is within the council area of Knowsley.
