Huntercombe Manor, Buckinghamshire

Huntercombe Manor is a house near Burnham, Buckinghamshire. The original Huntercombe Manor was timber-framed and built in the 14th century. It was altered and added to around 1675, 1717 and again in 1887. It is constructed from colour-washed brick and plaster render with plain tile roofs. The interior contains two ceiling paintings by Verrio whilst the house itself was owned by the Evelyn family between 1650 and 1705. The diarist John Evelyn wrote about the house and gardens in 1679. The house's interior features a notable staircase dating to around 1675. For some time, the manor house was part of a hospital, but it has since closed. It is within the council area of Buckinghamshire.
