Howdon, Northumberland

Howdon is an urban area to the east of Wallsend, Northumberland. It primarily consists of the High Howdon residential area built after the Second World War. Its name is taken from the original settlement of Howdon (which includes East Howdon and Howdon Pans) on the north bank of the Tyne, though High Howdon is seperated from this area by the main railway line. It is within the council area of North Tyneside.
