Hougton House, Bedfordshire
Hougton House is a ruined 17th-century mansion near Ampthill, Bedfordshire. It is said to be the model for House Beautiful in John Bunyan's The Pilgrim's Progress. It was abandoned in 1794. The ruin is in the care of English Heritage. It is within the council area of Central Bedfordshire.
