Horwich, Lancashire
Horwich is a small town in Lancashire, lying at the southern edge of the West Pennine Moors. Horwich emerged in the Middle Ages as a hunting chase. The Industrial Revolution brought the textile industry. Horwich Works was a major railway works which operated from 1886-1893. The town is within the council area of Bolton.
