Hollymount Demesne, Down
The Hollymount Demesne is a historic estate, situated near Downpatrick, County Down. The estate is thought to have originated in the 17th century. Hollymount House became dilapidated in the mid 20th century and now stands in ruins. The Northern Ireland forestry service purchased Hollymount in 1975, and the demesne now largely forms Hollymount Forest. Nearby Hollymount Church, dating form 1816, survives. The estate is within the council area of Newry, Mourne and Down.
