Hirta, Inverness-shire

Hirta (Scottish Gaelic: Hiort) is the largest island in the St Kilda archipelago, which forms part of Inverness-shire. The island has had no permanent inhabitants since 1930. The island is owned by the National Trust for Scotland which has restored the church and maintained the houses around Village Bay. It is within the council area of Na h-Eileanan an Iar CA.
