High Possil, Lanarkshire

High Possil is a suburban area at the northern end of the Glasgow conurbation, in Lanarkshire. The High Possil meteorite, the first to be record in Scotland, fell on the morning of Thursday, April 5, 1804, in an old quarry near Possil Loch in High Possil. Parts of the meteorite's remains are in the Hunterian Museum in Glasgow. High Possil is within the council area of City of Glasgow.
