High Level Bridge, Northumberland / Durham

The High Level Bridge is a 19th-century road and railway bridge spanning the River Tyne between Newcastle upon Tyne, Northumberland and Gateshead, County Durham. It was designed by Robert Stephenson to form a rail link towards Scotland for the developing English railway network. It is within the council area of Newcastle upon Tyne.
