Hertfordshire Grim's Ditch, Hertfordshire
Hertfordshire Grim's Ditch is a 1,500-yard stretch of a prehistoric boundary between Wick Wood and Wigginton Bottom in Hertfordshire. The bank measures up to 5ft high and 42ft wide. It forms part of a larger feature known as the Buckinghamshire and Hertfordshire Grim's Ditch which includes numerous surviving sections from within three main linear earthworks aligned along the Chiltern Hills between Bradenham, Buckinghamshire and Potten End, Hertfordshire, spanning a total distance of 11 miles. It does not appear that these principal sections were ever joined to form a single continuous boundary. This section of the ditch is within the council area of Dacorum (Hertfordshire).
