Herdings, Derbyshire
Herdings is a small suburban village in Derbyshire, lying to the south of Meers Brook. It remained a small hamlet until the late 20th century since when it has been developed as a suburban settlement. Although often considered a southern suburb of Sheffield, it remains relatively separated from the urban area of Sheffield by parkland, woods and the Meers Brook itself. It is within the council area of Sheffield.
