Hemsworth, Derbyshire
Hemsworth is a suburban village in Derbyshire. Hemsworth remained a small hamlet until the mid 20th century, since when it has grown to become a suburban village, spreading northwards towards the Meers Brook and west to become contiguous with Backmoor. Though the whole area is often considered part of Sheffield's southern suburbs, it remains separated from the main urban area of Sheffield by woods, parkland, a golf course and the Meers Brook itself. The village is within the council area of Sheffield.
