Hembury Castle, Devon
Hembury Castle is a slight univallate prehistoric hillfort near Buckland Brewer, Devon. It is situated on a prominent hill overlooking the valleys of the River Duntz and Lydeland Water. The hillfort survives as an oval enclosure 575ft long by 380ft wide and is defined by a rampart with outer ditch and counterscarp bank. It is within the council area of Torridge (Devon).
