Heckmondwike, Yorkshire

Heckmondwike is a town in Yorkshire, in the West Riding. The town became famous for manufacturing blankets and is part of the Heaven Woollen District. The clocktower and drinking fountain was built in 1863 to commemorate the marriage of the Prince of Wales and Princess Alexandra of Denmark. The town is within the council area of Kirklees.
