Heaton Hall and Park, Lancashire
Heaton Hall is a neoclassical 18th century country house situated within Heaton Park in Manchester, Lancashire. It was the ancestral home of the Egerton family. Sir Thomas Egerton, the 7th baronet, had the Hall rebuilt in the 1770s with James Wyatt as architect. The Hall and the estate were sold to Manchester City Council in 1902. The park was originally laid out by William Emes in the style of Capability Brown. The Hall is built of sandstone and stuccoed brick, in a traditional Palladian design. Heaton Hall and Park is within the council area of Manchester.
