Healaugh Priory, Yorkshire

Healaugh Priory is a former Augustinian priory, now a country house, located near Healaugh, Yorkshire, in the West Riding. The Priory of St John the Evangelist was established in 1218 and dissolved in 1535. The remains of the priory became a manor house and then a farmhouse. The present building is a two-storey construction of Magnesian limestone ashlar, with Welsh slate roof and brick chimney stacks. It is within the council area of North Yorkshire.
