Haydock, Lancashire
Haydock is a large village in Lancashire. Previously a major coal mining area, the town's proximity to the M6 and the East Lancs Road has made it a major distribution centre. Haydock Park Racecourse (opened 1899) lies to the north-east of the village. It is within the council area of St Helens.
