Hautville's Quoit, Somerset
Hautville's Quoit is a recumbent standing stone situated in the valley of the River Chew near Stanton Drew, Somerset. It survives as an earthfast monolith partially buried into a bank and measuring at least 3ft square by 1ft high. The standing stone was recorded by Stukeley writing in 1723 as being one of a pair of stones. It has been recumbent since at least the mid-17th century. It is believed to be an outlier to the stone circle at Stanton Drew. It is within the council area of Bath and North East Somerset.
