Haughey's Fort, Armagh

Haughey's Fort is a Bronze Age hillfort in the townland of Tray, County Armagh. The monument consists of a surrounding bank, which is almost invisible, enclosing an areas around 500ft in diameter. There is an outer ditch around 13ft wide & about 8ft deep. Excavations have shown that the fort was actively occupied from about 1170 to 770 BC. The monument is in the care of the Department for Communities. The monument is within the council area of Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon.
