Hateley Heath, Staffordshire

Hateley Heath is an urban area in the north of West Bromwich, Staffordshire. The earliest reference to the name is from the 15 th century, the area then being a piece of common land within the triangle formed by the present Wyntor, Allerton, and Jowett's Lanes. There was an iron foundry in the area from the 1740s. The area was only substantially developed for housing from the 1930s. It is within the council area of Sandwell.
