Harrow Hill, Sussex
Harrow Hill is a Bronze Age "Martin Down" style enclosure, situated on the hill of the same name near Angmering, Sussex. Martin Down enclosures (named after a typical example on Martin Down in Dorset) are small, usually sub-rectangular areas usually covering less than an acre, originally bounded by a low bank and/or fence with a surrounding ditch. Dating to the Late Bronze Age, these enclosures are interpreted as domestic settlements. The hill also contains the remains of a Neolithic flint mine. The site is within the council area of Arun (West Sussex).
