Harris, Inverness-shire

Harris (or the Isle of Harris, Scottish Gaelic: Na Hearadh) is the southern third of the island of Lewis and Harris, the largest island in the Outer Hebrides, Harris lying entirely within Inverness-shire. Though one land-mass, Lewis and Harris are generally referred to as though separate islands. Harris itself is divided into North Harris and South Harris, joined by a narrow isthmus at the main settlement of Tarbert. Harris is within the council area of Na h-Eileanan an Iar CA.
